Mentors
Volunteer mentors make our program possible and can have a lasting impact in the life of young person. Individuals selected to serve as mentors will be paired with a mentee, or PEARL, for the duration of the program during the academic year. Learn more about serving as a mentor below. Young adults who face an opportunity gap but have a mentor are 55% more likely to be enrolled in college than those that did not have a mentor.
Mentees
Mentees, or PEARLS, in the mentoring program include girls in grade 6-8 who are currently enrolled at the Oyster Adams Bilingual School.
